WWE Hall of Famer Ultimate Warrior To Appear At Wizard World Minneapolis Comic Con, Saturday, May 3

Former WWE Champion, 2014 Hall of Fame Inductee Joins William Shatner, Ralph Macchio Other Celebs At Pop Culture Festival At Minneapolis Convention Center

MINNEAPOLIS, March 17, 2014 – One of the most influential stars in WWE history will make his first Wizard World appearance when WWE® Hall of Famer Ultimate Warrior™ attends the inaugural Wizard World Minneapolis Comic Con on Saturday, May 3 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. The legendary Superstar will join notable celebrities like William Shatner (“Star Trek,” “T.J. Hooker”), Sean Astin (The Lord of the Rings, Rudy) and Ralph Macchio (The Karate Kid, My Cousin Vinny) at the event.

The Ultimate Warrior was one of the most iconic and exciting Superstars in WWE history. When the distinctive ring entrance music of Warrior hit, he would burst out of the dressing room and sprint towards the ring, causing a frenzy of excitement amongst WWE fans. Inside the squared circle, Warrior was responsible for many of the most memorable moments in WWE history.

In 1988 at the inaugural SummerSlam®, he defeated the Honkytonk Man™ in record time to win his first of two Intercontinental Championships. In 1990, Warrior defeated Hulk Hogan™ to become WWE Champion atWrestleMania® VI in one of the most exciting matches in WrestleMania history. Warrior would continue to captivate audiences around the world with epic encounters against WWE Legends such as Undertaker® and Randy Savage™. After a storied career that also saw him compete in WCW®, Warrior stepped away from the ring in 1998.Last year, he was featured in the WWE 2K14 video game as a downloadable character, giving the next generation of WWE fans a chance to “feel the power of the Ultimate Warrior.”

Manu Bennett (The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Arrow), Gilbert Gottfried (Problem Child, Beverly Hills Cop II), Michael Rooker (“The Walking Dead,”Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer), Lou Ferrigno (“The Incredible Hulk”) and Dean Cain (“Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman,” “Stars Earn Stripes”) are among the celebrities scheduled to attend Wizard World Minneapolis Comic Con. It is the seventh of 16 events scheduled in the 2014 series produced by Wizard World, Inc. (OTCBB: WIZD) and will also feature a top-drawer collection of well-known comics artists and writers and a variety of activities, exhibitors and special attractions. Show hours are Friday, May 2, 3-8 p.m.; Saturday, May 3, 10 a.m.-7 p.m., Sunday, May 4, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
