Transformers Hall of Fame 2010 – Vote Now!

This year, Hasbro is inducting five Transformer characters into the Transformers Hall of Fame! The inaugural class includes Optimus Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee and Starscream, but it’s up to you to choose the fifth!

Here’s the deal — in May, the official Transformers website, Transformers.com will hold balloting for Transformers fans to choose the fifth character, and Hasbro has asked numerous fan outlets to choose who will appear on the ballot.

Here’s how you can help ASM . We need to know your five top Transformers characters. We’ll tabulate the results and send them to Hasbro, where they’ll make the final results.

There are a few rules for this:

  1. You must list no more than FIVE Transformers, in alphabetical order. Any more than five will be discounted, so keep that in mind.
  2. Your choices MUST BE TRANSFORMERS CHARACTERS. No humans, humanoids, aliens, robots-who-aren’t-Transformers, Death’s Heads, etc. Gotta be Transformers.
  3. You can not choose any version of Optimus Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee or Starscream. For the sake of this poll, Optimus Primal from Beast Wars and Beast Machines IS a different character, since he has a different name. Megatron, however, is not allowed since he’s got the same name. Sorry, folks.
  4. Please refer to TF Wiki, http://www.tfwiki.net for naming conventions for characters with the same names in different continuities. For example, Prowl (G1) and Prowl (BW) are two separate characters and therefore would be counted as two ballot entries. Please use this naming scheme in your ballots to avoid confusion. In the case of multiple characters with the same names, it is up to the editors of ASM to make the final judgement. Most likely, they’ll toss them out. So, please do what you can to make it clear which characters you vote vore.
  5. It is the sole discretion of the editors of ASM to determine what ultimately will be counted in the final results being sent to Hasbro.

TRANSFORMERS Fans Will Participate in Selecting One Robot for the Class of 2010

Pawtucket, R.I. (March 26, 2010) — After more than 25 years of “MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE” action, Hasbro (NYSE: HAS) is announcing the TRANSFORMERS Hall of Fame that will honor both “ROBOTS IN DISGUISE” and those influential in creating and building this iconic entertainment brand.

Heroic AUTOBOTS OPTIMUS PRIME and BUMBLEBEE, as well as evil DECEPTICONS MEGATRON and STARSCREAM, will be the first robots honored with admission as chosen by Hasbro’s TRANSFORMERS Hall of Fame internal panel of judges. TRANSFORMERS fans around the world will determine a fifth robot to join the inaugural class via voting on the Transformers.com website starting on Monday, May 10, 2010. The winning robot will be revealed Saturday night, June 26, 2010 in Orlando, FL at the annual TRANSFORMERS convention known as “BotCon” when the entire Class of 2010 will be officially inducted.

First introduced in 1984 by Hasbro and Takara as a toy line, the TRANSFORMERS brand

has provided kids with hours of MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE fun with their action figures that convert from robot to vehicles and back again.
