Also known as Ironfist, Fisitron is a redeco of Wreckers Roadbuster, who in turn was a remold of Fall of Cybertron Swindle. This particular version of Fisitron hails from the Wings Universe, where he wasn’t a member of the Wreckers team. Instead, he was part of Metalhawk’s Elite Guard team, where he went toe-to-toe with the Combaticons multiple times. So, what do you think? It’s a good update from his original G1 toy, keeping the same general color scheme. It’s kind of weird they went with the Elite Guard symbol as opposed to the Wreckers symbol, especially since 1) they

New York- Mezco’s award-winning design team journeyed deep into the unexplored depths of the Amazon jungle searching for fossils…instead they discovered The Creature! Mezco Toyz brings to life The Creature, from Universal’s sci-fi, horror gem, The Creature From The Black Lagoon. This Creature variant is cast in Translucent Green material. The iconic scaled terror from the deep stands 9″ tall and captures the intricate detail of the pre-historic gill-man; from his mysterious amphibious eyes, to his claw tipped webbed hands. With 11 points of articulation he’ll be able to take out any scientist who dares to come between him and
Continue readingComic Review – Transformers: Regeneration One #94
We’re getting close to the end, folks. There’s only six issues left to go in the series — well, technically seven, since we’re getting Regeneration One #0 next month — so we should savor this look back to the bygone era of Transformers storytelling, because soon we won’t have it any more. Good thing there’s a big-ol’ Ultra Magnus vs. Galvatron fight in this issue, just like the old days of Marvel UK. For those who don’t remember, Simon Furman wrote some masterful epics in the UK version of Transformers before he did the same in the US. In Target: 2006, he laid the groundwork
Continue readingToy Review – Generations Wheelie
Wheelie has always been one of the black sheep of the Transformers family. Introduced in 1986 as the new kid-friendly character, Wheelie’s constant rhyming grated on people’s nerves, and the fact that his toy was as basic as basic got back then didn’t help matters. He’s had several new toys since, and this latest one is his largest one yet. So, should you get it, or should you forget it? Don’t worry; that’ll be the only rhyme. If you want more rhyming, check out his awesome TF Wiki profile.
Continue readingToy Review – BotCon 2010 Turbomaster (a/k/a Scorch)
BotCon 2010’s theme was “Generation 2: Redux”, a reimagining and extention of the nearly 20-year old (at the time) toy line. One of the souvenirs was “Turbomaster”, which was a new version of the toy once known as “Scorch”. A redeco of the Classics/Universe Hound mold, Turbomaster is yellow, orange and grey and comes with the nicest transforming jaguar you’ll ever meet. But how good is Turbomaster? Read on!

Continue readingThe Transformers Club Reveals New Barricade Figure
Based on the Transformers Prime: Beast Hunters Prowl mode, Barricade is an upcoming figure from the Transformers Club, as revealed via Twitter in a game of 20 25 Some Number of Questions. It’s an interesting choice for the mold – it hasn’t even appeared on many pegs yet. The police car mode looks great. and the robot mode is pretty good, except I do hope that purple is a bit more subdued in the final figure. If you weren’t on Twitter for the reveal, here it is.
Continue readingToy Review – Transformers – Sergeant Kup
Sergeant Kup is the somewhat modern take on the character who first debuted in The Transformers: The Movie, over 25 years ago. (Don’t you feel old? I know I do.) Back then, he was a futuristic pickup truck from the far-off future of 2005. Yyyyeah, that’s not exactly how car design evolved, is it? Now, he’s a nigh-modern/retro pickup with one advantage over the old design – a working tailgate. (Tip of the hat to TFWiki.net for that bit of info.) So, how does this new version fare in the review department? Read on!
