The Next Transformers Club Figure Makes James Roberts Smile…
…and the rest of us weep bitter tears, each tear filled with our hopes and dreams. THANKS JAMES. Anyway, the next figure to be unveiled by the Transformers Club is… Rewind! I love this figure. I’m especially happy that it’s a mold that was released only in Japan. I never got the tape-tank twins, so I’m eager to get my hands on this one. The deco is fantastic, the new head sculpt with the camera lens is awesome. Yeah, the alt-mode doesn’t fit with what we saw in the More than Meets the Eye comic; I’m willing to overlook it cause the

On Monday, Adam Pawlus tweeted the following information: Super 7 Retro expanding http://t.co/F49NnB5lgK Aliens, Terminator, BTTF, Bill & Ted, Buffy, Firefly, everything you love (not Star Wars) — Adam Pawlus (@Adam16bit) September 2, 2013 Basically, Funko and Super7 are expanding their ReAction line retro-styled action figures, and there are reports that this will include tons of new properties, including “Firefly,” “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” Back to the Future, and more. I retweeted Adam’s tweet with the comment, “This is big.” I meant it. Assuming this list of properties is true, this is huge, massive, ginormous news. This opens the door for

With The Star Wars #1, J. W. Rinzler and Mike Mayhew take us to a time and place they call “Longer ago, in a galaxy either further away.” Adapted from the original screenplay by George Lucas, this comic shows what might have been if Lucas’s original plans hadn’t been altered by several revisions of the script. What we know as Star Wars: A New Hope started life as The Star Wars, a tale of Jedi-Bendu vs. the Knights of Sith, as the New Empire had hunted down the architects of the Imperial Space Force. You’ll notice similar themes and characters — Luke, Leia, Jedi,

Yahoo! Movies unveiled the teaser poster for Transformers 4 and revealed what the full title will be. Behold, TRANSFORMERS 4: AGE OF EXTINCTION! I like it! The article goes on to speculate on what that means. A/K/A – the Dinobots. I’m intrigued by how the Dinobots will be reimagined for the movie-universe, but I am a bit wary. After all, I’m not exactly a fan of how there can be robotic dinosaurs on Cybertron….
Continue readingComic Quick Look: Transformers: More than Meets the Eye #20
When we last left the Transformers, Pharma had sliced Ambulon in half, forcing Ratchet to try to save his life, and Minimus “Ultra Magnus” Ambus had his head destroyed by Justice Tyrest. Add to that Autobots still stuck in a cell and Cyclonus, Dai Atlas and Whirl fighting for their lives outside, and you’ve got yourself one hell of a mess. The problem with reviewing a comic like this is that unlike Regeneration One, it seems more of a crime to go into much detail of James Roberts’ plot. There are some twists and turns I did not see coming, and
