Swerve is by far the Transformer with the weirdest production history in the nearly 30 years of the brand.  It’s an exclusive toy, but for a long time, nobody was 100% sure who he was exclusive to.  Was he a Chevrolet exclusive in certain European markets?  Was he a worldwide Chevy online exclusive?  Did you have to buy a real Chevy Aveo to get him, or just test drive?  Does he like gladiator movies?  (Okay, strike that last one.) Transformers Club Reveals Rampage, Transmutate; Teases Treadshot

In a flurry of updates this morning, the Transformers Club (@The_TF_Club) provided us first looks at two of their 2014 figures, as well as teasing us with a small headshot of a third. Toy Review: Transformers Club Figure – Depth Charge

The 2013 Transformers Club Figure is a reimagining of the fierce bounty hunter from “Beast Wars” – Depth Charge.  This incarnation is starring in the club’s 2013 comic story “Beast Wars Shattered Glass”, and while he no longer transformers into a manta ray, he still is very reminiscent of the now 15 year old toy.  Depth Charge is now a fighter jet armed with a polearm weapon that can be either a spear or trident.  As with all club figures, he is based off another toy; in this case, a redeco of Terradive. “It’s not revenge I’m looking for; it’s justice.”
