BBC America Trailer
Personally, I’m hoping they go with a relatively unknown actor who hasn’t appeared in “Doctor Who” or “Torchwood” (or even “The Sarah Jane Adventures”). Yes, repeat actors/actresses can work for other characters, but I think that the next Doctor should be someone who hasn’t appeared. I’m hoping for a shift away from goofy/silly Doctors – the next Doctor (whether male or female) should be sterner, more serious. I’m not saying he/she should be angry, but I think a more serious personality for the new Doctor would do the series good, open up new storyline possibilities.
We’ll find out Sunday.
