  1. By the time these questions get returned to us, Iron Man 2 will have been out in theaters for several weeks. Is it easier to create product for a sequel since you already have a relationship with the studio/director/producers from the first movie, or is it harder to create product for a sequel since you have the drive to always do better and produce more exciting toys than the first time?
  2. Hasbro’s creative partnership with Marvel involves a lot of idea generation on Hasbro’s part and a lot of back-and-forth with Marvel.  Are there any interesting examples of Hasbro-led ideas making their way into Marvel’s media properties (ie movies, comics, etc.), past or present?
  3. Okay, Mr. Fantastic is super intelligent, right?  Then why did he
think it was a good idea to give *Hulk* a giant robot?  And then give
him a second one, even after realizing the first one wasn’t a good
    idea?

  1. We’re not sure that easier is the right word, as each presents its own challenges. We approach each movie with the same level of enthusiasm and excitement for the opportunity it presents us with. Each movie has new costumes, new characters, etc. We have a strong relationship with our partners that continues to make each day fun and each new movie exciting!
  2. Marvel’s media properties are developed by Marvel Studios. Fortunately, we have awesome relationships with all of our Marvel partners and are a collaborative team.
  3. Even better, why did Mr. Fantastic let Spider-Man leave his building with a paper bag on his head versus making him a new costume? Ponder that one!

Thanks to Hasbro and Hunter PR for the answers! Got more questions? The next batch of questions must be in to ASM by June 3rd. A separate post will be added in a few days, but if you want to get a jump, post your question below!
