[Spoilers for season 1 of Game of Thrones and the novel A Game of Thrones] This was one of the surprise exclusives.  While we here at ASM knew about the Dark Horse Stark Shield Plaque, it wasn’t until Thursday night of Comic-Con that we found out that Funko had made an exclusive Ned Stark figure.  With several of their “Game of Thrones” figures adoring one of our tables, we were debating whether or not to get this one. Dark Horse SDCC Game of Thrones Stark Shield Plaque

When Dark Horse announced that they would make a small replica of HBO’s “Game of Thrones” Stark Shield for San Diego Comic-On 2013, we here at ASM knew we had to get one. Initially asking Matt Guzy of Awesome Toy Blog to be the procurer, we were then pleased to find out that HBO Shop was going to put a limited supply on their website the opening night of SDCC.  And by pleased we mean, “Holy crap they just tweeted that they put some up on their website I gotta get to my computer where’s my credit card RIGHT NOW HOLY CRAP!” Now,

The Next Doctor To Be Revealed Live Sunday

Comic Quick Look – Transformers: MTMTE #19, Prime Beast Hunters #3

Here’s a double-dip of Transformers comics from the past two weeks.  IDW released Transformers: More than Meets the Eye #19 and Transformers Prime: Beast Hunters #3, two distinct tales from two different universes.  And fittingly enough, I have two different opinions about them. EW.com Shows a… Unique Take on Venom

This week, EW.com posted a very unique unofficial fan-film featuring Venom, the symbiote-wearing Spider-Man villain.  Starring Ryan Kwanten of HBO’s “True Blood” (and sporting a New York accent, once again convincingly disguising his Australian-origins), this film is a different take on the character.  It purports to be a documentary by a French film team, detailing Eddie Brock’s investigative journalism into the seedy world of New York crime.  But, as you can expect, Eddie shows off his partner during the course of this “found footage”.
