Michael Bay Provides First Look at “Transformers 4” Vehicles

Principal production on Transformers 4 has begun, according to Michael Bay via his website.  As a treat for fans, he provided three images of vehicles that are being used, all of the Autobots.

First, he gave us a glimpse at a C7 Corvette Stingray.

Then, we saw a Bugatti Grand Sport Vitesse.

And then today, Michael gave us a look at the redesigned Optimus Prime.

ASM Thoughts: Wow, those are some sexy cars.  I’ve always liked the look of the Stingray, and that green race-inspired deco just oozes sexiness.  We will, of course, see a toy in blue and called “Autobot Tracks”.

As for the Bugatti, it’s a perfect car for a Transformer.  It’s got this concept look, almost one of those designs that seems it will always be “in the future”.

And with Prime, wow, guess they wanted to give Optimus more mass in his robot mode.  It’s interesting; after years and years of long-nosed cabs, it’s odd to see this flatter-nosed version.  It’s not G1-shaped, but it’s closer.  It will be interesting to see how bulked up the robot mode will be.

So far, I’m loving the look of all of these.
