From the Lost ASM Archives – GI Joe Con 2005

Did you know that ASM has been to GI Joe Con?  No, probably not.  Here’s the story.  Back in 2005, JoeCon was held in Minneapolis, MN, a relatively short drive from where I live.  As it turns out, that was also the year that Fun Publications took over BotCon, and I was curious as to how the people in charge ran a convention.  Add to that a bunch of local friends who are huge Joe fans and wanted to go to the convention, and you got yourself the recipe for a good old-fashioned Road Trip.

Nine people.  One van.  Donuts for the drive out, snacks for the drive back — oh, yeah, it was on.

We went as walk-ins for the Saturday, spent the day there, went to Gameworks for dinner, and we drove back home the next day.  I took pictures of the convention for ASM, but for reasons that I don’t remember, I never posted these to ASM.  Well, now that’s changed.  Step back in time 6 years and see what Hasbro had for GI Joe – Sigma 6, A Real American Hero and the 12″ line. A select few images are in the gallery below, and for the rest of the images, check out the full GI Joe Con 2005 Gallery!
