- What are some of the challenges you find in trying to create decos of costumes where every artist seems to have his or her own take on drawing it? Do you go back to the model sheets if possible, or do you just try to blend the variants to get the best meld?
- What sort of processes do you need to do to flesh out a line, such as Spider-Man? He’s only got a few costumes, but you want a full line to be on shelves. Is it more of every team member creates ideas on his/her own or is it more of a “Everybody in the meeting room” style of brainstorming?
- Packaging needs to be refreshed to grab the eyes of potential buyers. What’s the collaboration between the toy designers and the packaging designers, especially if there are certain toy features that should be called out on the packages?
- Challenges? We only see opportunities! Each artist within our team has their own unique style. We work as a team to bring out the best in each partner and strive to bring you the best assortment possible.
- We are a very collaborative team that partners together to bring forth the best possible assortment at retail. We are often working together to determine the best “themes” for each season and then partner to bring the collection to life. Often times we engage in open discussions with partners throughout Hasbro to ensure freshness and creativity within each collection and assortment. Many of our products are tested in “Fun Labs” to gain further insights into the enjoyment level of our core consumers.
- Our team partners together across all aspects of production. We decide as a team which items to call out and feature on packaging.
