“Transformers: Age of Extinction” Preview Event – News, Reviews, Cybertron Monday, New Apps

Last week, a number of Transformers fan sites got a goodie box from the folks at Hasbro and Hunter PR.  This box contained four toys from the upcoming Transformers: Age of Extinction line.  These toys included Deluxe Autobot Drift, Deluxe Dinobot Slug, Voyager Grimlock, and Leader Optimus Prime.  Today, ASM and other sites are putting up reviews and thoughts of these toys as well as some other news.  To read our reviews, click the names of the toys above.  Get more news after the jump.

Funko Announces Hikari and Weekly Hikary Friday Contests for Exclusive Figures

Funko Reveals Series 6 of Star Wars Pop!

In honor of “Star Wars Day”, Funko has sent over pictures of Series 6 of their “Star Wars” Pop! Line!  Featuring a huge (relatively speaking) Wampa pop vinyl figure that stands at 6″ tall , this line will also bring you bobble heads of Luke Skywalker in Hoth Gear, Bossk, Emperor Palpatine, Hammerhead, and a Biker Scout. Yes, that Wampa is as awesome as you think it is.  You have to wait until June to get these, though.

Funko Proves There’s Always a Sharknado in the Banana Stand

Funko sent over some new images of upcoming pop vinyl figures in there Pop! Television line.  First off, in honor of the upcoming soon-to-be-a-classic Sharknado 2: The Second One, Funko is giving us a Sharnkado Pop!.  The best thing?  It’s probably a better actor than Tara Reid *rimshot*.  Sharknado will be available in June. IDW Previews – April 23, 2014 – Transformers: RiD, 24 and Full Solicits

It’s kind of like last week — out of all the comics IDW is slated to release tomorrow, two caught my eye, and once again it’s 24 and Transformers.  You can see previews below and the full solicitations on page 2. First, The Transformers: Robots in Disguise begins “Season 2” with issue #28.  Written by John Barber with art by Andrew Griffith, this issue finds the Autobots returning to Earth six months after the events of “Dark Cybertron”.  The problem is that they weren’t exactly given a tearful goodbye when they left last time….  This preview happens to feature one of the best damn intros
