Knee-Jerk Reactions to DC Comics Revamping Everything

  1. Wait, what?
  2. So, Action Comics and Detective Comics — two titles with issue numbers close or over 900 — are now going to be restarted at #1?  SO SORRY, DETECTIVE COMICS, NO #900 FOR YOU.
  3. Wait, what?
  4. Looking at that image from Brian Truitt’s article, is that Superman or Superboy?  And that new “S” looks a lot like Electrified Superman from the mid 90’s.  But hey, Wonder Woman is back in her sho— wait, no, it still looks like long pants.  So much for people who hated Jim Lee’s new look.  (So, is the Jim Lee New Look New Look Wonder Woman?)
  5. Seriously, what?
  6. This strikes me as DC’s version of “Heroes Reborn”, Marvel’s attempt at rebooting several comics in the mid-90’s, then a year later got undone.  Only DC’s version is on a much larger scale.
  7. No way.
  8. Poe Ghostal said it’s “Brand New DC”.  To which I say, so is Clark going to make a deal with Lord Satanus so that Ma Kent can live, but it’ll retcon his and Lois’ marriage?
  9. It’s been just over twenty-five years since the original Crisis ended.  Wonder if this new reboot will last another 25 years.
  10. Wait — WHAT????

Now, having gotten this out of my system, I’ll wait to see how this unfolds.  But seeing as I don’t read any DC books right now, I don’t see myself really buying any after this reboot.  Time will tell…
