Super7’s ReAction Figures to me are kind of like Funko — you never know what license might pop up. I mean, for goodness sake, we’re getting Rocky IV figures — including the robot! Beavis and Butthead, Street Fighter 2, Pee-Wee’s Playhouse, Robocop, Teen Wolf, baseball, Metropolis… it’s amazing the diversity! So getting that robot and displaying it next to my Rocky IV soundtrack by Vince DiCola…. Pictures by Steve and Penelope Kushnir

Toy Fair 2019 – Super7 – Masters of the Universe
When Super7 announced they had gotten the Masters of the Universe license from Mattel, the fandom was split. Mattel giving up their own creation? Would Super7 screw it up? And then there were some who said that Mattel had screwed it up, this could only be better. Truth be told, I don’t know if Super7 is doing a better job than Mattel or not. What I do know is that MOTU fans are getting new toys this year, and that’s a good thing. From classic style to ReAction figures, to a new frigging Space Mountain — well, that’s all good!

We start our McFarlane Toys coverage with Fortnite! Fortnite is one of those things that make me feel old. It’s a video game that is popular and I feel like it’s beyond my comprehension. But that’s just me. Even though I may not play the game, I understand it’s popularity and I love the designs. They make for a great looking video game and a great looking set of toys. These $24.99 figures have 22 points of articulation and will look great next to your console. Pictures by Steve and Penelope Kushnir

Finally for DC Collectibles, we come to their action figures. Various assortments will be available this year, including DC Essentials featuring comic book styling of your favorite heroes and villians; DC Artists’ Alley, which contains vinyl figures of heroes and villians designed by top artists. But my favorite is the DC The Animated Series line which creates new figures of characters based on the designs and styles of the Bruce Timm designed animated shows. I loved “Batman the Animated Series” and “Justice League/Justice League International”. These designs have a special spot in my heart. I love these. Pictures by Steve
