In the past, I’ve only given this comic a “Quick Look” so to avoid people getting spoiled. But I can’t talk about this comic without spoilers. I tried, I really tried, but nope, can’t do it. So: SPOILERS AFTER THE IMAGES!

Last time in The Transformers: Regeneration One: Hot Rod was sent spiralling through time by Primus. Okay, when I first heard about this Zero Issue, I admit I was excited about it, primarily for three words: Geoff. Slaggin’. Senior. Yes, UK/US Marvel Transformers artist extraordinaire, Geoff Senior, would be returning to pencil interior pages of a US Transformers comic, for the first time in over a decade. He’s provided retailer incentive covers for RGO, and he did some work for the UK comic back in 2007, but unless I’m missing some information, the last pages he pencilled was for BotCon 2000’s “Reaching the Omega

I’m a sucker for a story that starts out with our protagonist caught in the middle of some mess then then flashes back to show how she/he got into said mess. (See: “Alias”, Mission Impossible: 3, numerous other shows and stories.) That being said, this is how Brain Boy #1 starts: I love it. Right away we see our hero — for lack of a better word — strapped to a chair, guns pointed at him, and he says he has his enemies where he wants them? Fred Van Lente doesn’t waste time hooking us with what appears to be an implausible statement. Of

When I took a look at issue #3 of Transformers Prime: Beast Hunters, I said that I was having trouble accepting that the Dinobots looked like Earth dinosaurs, even though they had never been to our planet. Well, I’m glad to say that issue #4 addresses my complaint. In the course of fighting their organic counterparts, the Dinobots discover that the dinosaurs were part of Shockwave’s experiments. He apparently had discovered them on Earth and decided to replicate them on Cybertron. Seems simple enough. It’s an okay read. It’s Dinobots and dinosaurs and huge fights, but I’m having problems caring about
