Chicago ComicCon (Wizard World) 2011 Costume/Cosplay Report
Chicago ComicCon (Wizard World Chicago) has come and gone all too quickly once again! Unfortunately I was not able to attend on Friday but I hit the convention floor bright and early on Saturday morning with my camera. I have found that one of the best ways to report on cosplay is to join in the fun myself, so I suited up as Rogue from the X-Men on Saturday.

This Saturday, I hit the floor of the 2nd annual Cyphan convention in Rosemont (Chicago), IL. This convention draws a heavy number of costumers, and there was no shortage of amazing costumes to see. Unfortunately I ran into some technical difficulties with my camera so not all of my shots turned out, but I was able to use the bulk of the photos I took, although a few may be somewhat dark. Free Comic Book Day 2011. This cosplayer spent the day at Neptune Comics in Waukesha, WI, a suburb of Milwaukee. Neptune Comics is a great store with a large selection of comics, graphic novels, toys, and collectibles. I arrived at about 10:15 a.m., about 45 minutes before the store’s opening at 11:00 a.m., and already a queue was forming outside the front door. Upon arrival, I joined my comrades of the Rebel Legion, 501st Legion, and the Superhero Costuming Forum (of which I am a member of all three) in the back room at Neptune Comics, where we suited up

The Kingkiller Chronicle is a trilogy of books by author Patrick Rothfuss. The first novel, The Name of the Wind, was released in April of 2007. Book two, The Wise Man’s Fear, was recently released in March of 2011. The release date of book three is still unknown at this time. You may ask why I am reviewing books that are not new releases. The answer is that I find that limiting, as I often do not discover quality books until many years after their initial release. Many of the best books are quietly released and only catch on via
